Director
Having obtained a Marketing & Management diploma, he began his working career in the Transport and Warehousing industry which spanned 11 years. In 2003 he was presented with the opportunity to purchase a 50% share in a short-term brokerage and it was at this time that his career really gained momentum.
He is a qualified financial advisor who is passionate about the short-term Insurance industry and it’s the passion that has driven him and his colleagues to create the business that is now Clanfin today, a large independent short-term brokerage that has clients across South Africa as well as the sub-continent.
Vis Govender
Underwriting Manager
Vis is a financial advisor who has been in the insurance industry for 50 years, having started his career with SA Eagle Insurance Company (now Bryte), and later moved over to Clanfin in 2007 from its inception. He is accredited with the Financial Services Board and is a key individual for the company.
He is passionate about the industry and has a vast amount of knowledge of the requirements needed to tailor-make policies for individuals and their needs.
Bonga Ndaba
Bonga has a B A (Law) and MBA from University of KwaZulu Natal and other qualifications from Unisa and the Graduate School of Business of the University of Cape Town. He has worked in various roles for Hulett Aluminium (now Hulamin), Sappi and Engen Petroleum.
He is a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) from the Institute of Purchasing and Supply South Africa (IPSA) and was awarded an MCIPS by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS). Most recently, American based APICS (The Association for Operations Management) conferred upon him the designation of Certified Supply Chain Professional. His experience and networks will grow Clanfin Africa in the coastal regions as well as in Gauteng and in the public sector.
Mark Holdsworth
Claims Manager
Mark started with Clanfin in 2014, after having spent 21 years in the logistics industry. He obtained an IMM Diploma in 1996 and has joined the company in order to grow the client base and provide expertise with regards to the ever increasing transport fleet under cover.
He strives to make a difference by building up trusting relationships with the clients and ensuring that the “TCF” (Treat the Customer Fairly) philosophy is always adhered to.

I stated working at Clanfin in April 2014 and have been responsible for the book keeping, bordereaux, pay roll, HR as well as training facilitation.

Joined Clanfin in 2017 as an underwriting assistant. Presently Personal Assistant to Mr Holdsworth. I am also responsible for commission payments and office admin.

I have been with Clanfin since 2005 and I am responsible for the day to day handling of commercial, domestic, marine and aviation clients.

I have been working in the insurance industry over 10 years. I previously worked for Brokersure Insurance Group and SAFire Insurance. I joined Clanfin in July 2017 as a commercial underwriter.

I joined the insurance brokerage in 2005. I started off as a receptionist and assisted in claims and now I am currently a domestic underwriter and also do a bit of commercial underwriting.

I started work with Moosa Allee Insurance Brokers in 2004 as a receptionist. From 2007 – July 2018 I was doing underwriting on both commercial and domestic. In August 2018 I joined Clanfin as an underwriter on both Commercial and Domestic.

I have 21 years of claims and underwriting experience in the insurance industry having worked for two brokerage firms in Pietermaritzburg. I joined Clanfin in March 2021 as a dedicated domestic and commercial Underwriter.

I have worked in the short term insurance field over the years in various departments namely claims, underwriting and admin. I am now an Underwriter at Clanfin.

I began my career in the insurance industry in 1994, over two decades ago. I joined Clanfin in April 2015 as a claims consultant. I come with a wealth of experience and I am always looking to make our clients claims experience as smooth and problem free as possible.

I enjoyed several part time jobs in a Bed and Breakfast; Technology Company and an Animal Grooming Parlour whilst studying for my BACC at Varsity College, from where I graduated in 2020. I had the opportunity to join Clanfin (Pty) Ltd in March 2023 as a Trainee Claims Administrator.

After completing his Bcom degree through Stellenbosch University, he began his career in the finance and accounting field and in 2008 qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant. In 2014 he joined Clanfin and setup a branch in East Griqualand in Southern KZN.
With over 10 years experience in the Accounting and Finance field and a passion for great customer service he is well postioned to service new and existing clients in the area.

I started in the short-term insurance industry with Mutual and Federal (now Old Mutual Insure) in 1982 and later moved to a National broker for 9 years. As my experience span over the insurance broking market and after serving in various management and operational roles at Guardian National and Santam, I have joined this dynamic team as a Technical Adviser / Business Development Manager. I am passionate about providing client solutions that meets our dynamic client profile.

I have over 15 years of underwriting experience in the insurance industry and joined Clanfin in 2016. I have worked for top brokerage firms both in South Africa and abroad. I place great emphasis on long term relationship building and excellent customer service.

I am now based in the Durban / Pinetown Clanfin office.
